Mirroring Reality Within Second Life

Working on the PC within Second Life from a PC in Real Life. It's often said that Second Life is but a mirror of "reality" - that SL allows us a snapshot of human behavior. The question is, will platforms such as SL bring us to reflect on our day-to-day actions? In other words, will this virtual snapshot awaken the desire in people to affect change in Real Life? I vote that we awake!
