Take a Break!

- - Lyrics: Brian Eno - -

Is there a time for keeping your distance
A time to turn your eyes away
Is there a time for keeping your head down
For getting on with your day

Is there a time for kohl and lipstick
A time for cutting hair
Is there a time for high street shopping
To find the right dress to wear

Here she comes
Heads turn around
Here she comes
To take her crown

Dici che il fiume (You say that the river)
Trova la via al mare (Finds the way to the sea)
E come il fiume (And like the river)
Giungerai a me (You shall come to me)
Oltre i confini (Beyond the borders)
E le terre assetate (And the thirsty lands)
Dici che come fiume (You say that as a river)
Come fiume... (Like a river...)

Is there a time to run for cover
A time for kiss and tell
Is there a time for different colours
Different names you find it hard to spell

Is there a time for first communion
A time for East 17
Is there a time to turn to Mecca
Is there time to be a beauty queen

Here she comes
Beauty plays the clown
Here she comes
Surreal in her crown

Dici che il fiume (You say that the river)
Trova la via al mare (Finds the way to the sea)
E come il fiume (And like the river)
Giungerai a me (You shall come to me)
Oltre i confini (Beyond the borders)
E le terre assetate (And the thirsty lands)
Dici che come fiume (You say that as a river)
Come fiume... (Like a river...)
L'amore giunger (Love shall come)
L'amore... (Love...)
E non so più pregare (And I'm not able to pray anymore)
E nell'amore non so più sperare (And I cannot hope in love anymore)
E quell'amore non so più aspettare (And I cannot wait for that love anymore)

Is there a time for tying ribbons
A time for Christmas trees
Is there a time for laying tables
And the night is set to freeze

Hello Kip,

1) ribbons
2) cover
3) lipstick

For my girlfriend's birthday, I would buy a lipstick and I will cover it with ribbons.

You can see i am trying to use conditional 1 ;-)

See you Kip.

Hi Hypno!

I'm glad to see that you are using the conditional tenses. ;)

X For my girlfriend's birthday, I would buy a lipstick and I will cover it with ribbons.
Correct: For my girlfriend's birthday, I would buy some lipstick and cover it with ribbons.

* That is a very creative sentence. ;) Tip: You don't need to use would in this sentence twice - once is enough.
